The season is fast approaching, and before we get lost in what will hopefully be another fantastic A-League season, we thought it might be a good idea to look at the good new stories around Melbourne Heart. Here are some of those stories:
– Harry Kewell coming to the club. He has a lot to proof for himself in the A-League, and his experience can only be a positive to our younger players at the club, The Age. Having Kewell at the club has also been a positive for the club in the Victorian regional community, Bordermail. Melbourne Heart.
– John van’t Schip coming back to the club to help with the new youth program,
“Heart is aiming to launch its youth academy, in conjunction with Cruyff Football, next year”
quote from Fox Football. This can only be great for the club, and looking forward to seeing the success of this venture.
– Last season Melbourne Heart had some great fan engagement initiatives. Of course our highlight was the ‘Own the Experience’ match day, where we where invited to take part in the action and write about it, TheBigHeart. This looks like a trend that will continue into the new season, with Heart ‘Believe’ on the big screen, where Melbourne Heart members can have their own tweets and images at the home games on the big screen, Melbourne Heart.
– Melbourne Heart’s community side: One reason why Westpac continues to be a principal partner of the club is the great amount of work that the club does in the community. Tribalfootball. Melbourne Heart players in a practice session with a Morwell’s street team, ABC. Melbourne Hearts’ coach the coach sessions, Melbourne Heart. The Fan Representative Group (FRG), a way Melbourne Heart communicates to their fans, read more here. The MHFC FRG terms of reference. Melbourne Heart work along schools and also do a lot of other great community work.
